The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) requires that students possessing an F-1 visa (i.e., academic students in
colleges, universities, seminaries, conservatories, academic high schools, other academic institutions, and in language
training) prove that financial support for tuition and living expenses are readily available for themselves and accompanying
dependents for one full year of study. Proof of financial support must be submitted each calendar year.
